IBM Numeric Keypad going crazy

Hi,

I have a the USB keypad plugged into a T43 and more often than not depressing the keypad keys results in the wrong numbers or hard returns or page downs. For example, pressing the "1" key inputs "13". Is this a software or hardware problem?

I've had both the notebook and the keypad for over 5 years and just the past few months I've been getting this problem. What do you suggest?

Try the keypad on another laptop.
