Hello,
My T40 won't shutdown. When I click 'shutdown/restart' it does nothing.
I assume this problem relates to thinkvantage access connections which version is 4.12
Anyone experiencing the same problem ?
Thanks,

T40 won't shutdown after software installer update
I wouldn't think Access Connections would cause that problem, but I could be wrong.
First try turning off the laptop by pressing and holding down the power button (on/off button) for several seconds. Now boot up and try the Shutdown procedure in Windows, as you were doing previously.
If it still won't shutdown normally, then try Windows System Restore to revert to a time when your laptop was working properly.

It works fine when I install a clean windows xp installation.
Problem appears right after installing software installer & software it offers so I assume It's an IBM software problem.
There was a similar problem with AC (fixed in 3.12) - that's why
I treated AC as a problem here.
Will try with AC uninstalling first and let You know.
Thank you for the response.

Access Connections is closely tied-in with the wireless driver. If uninstalling Access Connections (and possibly the wireless driver) fixes your shutdown problem, then I suggest you follow the procedure below.
Uninstall Access Connections, reboot, uninstall your wireless driver, reboot, reinstall your wireless driver, reboot, reinstall Access Connections, reboot.
