T42 fan "revs up" before slowing down whenever it

#1 Post by steelie69 » Sat Dec 25, 2004 2:11 pm

Lets say the fan decides to come on at low speed. But instead of coming on at low speed, it ALWAYS starts off with a blast of FULL speed for about a second, then slows down to low.

This is really annoying- I dont remember my T23 doing that..

Is there a BIOS fix for this or am i just stuck?

I think its supposed to do it. My T41p does exactly the same thing. Maybe its to blast all the hot air out of the case, before going to passive?
