T41 and Internet connection

#1 Post by ziloo » Sun Aug 07, 2022 3:32 pm

Hello Thinkpals,

My T41 with win xp pro doesn't have any appetite for
either wired or wireless connection to the internet. :BAAAD!:
What steps do you suggest for diagnosing the problem?

Thank you

Are all the drivers installed? Network adapters identified correctly in Device Manager?

Boot a Linux LiveCD and check whether the network connections work there.

Check the Config/Network settings in the BIOS.
You can disable/enable them there.

I've upgraded the Wireless-Module ti the 2915 ABG to see my 5Ghz Network. But the WinXP Plan Management-Tool s***s... :/ - So I have to use the Intel PROSet Software. With Windows 7 all is working fine out of the box
