problem installing win xp on T42

#1 Post by tommyj27 » Fri Apr 08, 2005 11:33 pm

ok, so i've had linux installed on my T42 (2378fvu) since i first got it. i left unpartitioned space at the beginning of the drive for windows and i'm just now getting around to installing it. but when i put the windows xp disc in and boot the system i get the "windows is inspecting your hardware setup" message and then a blank screen and the cd spins down, after that, nothing. has anyone else encountered this or know of a solution?
