hello!
My work is to set up mobile base stations and make it works, so sometimes i need to configure them at low ambient tempertatures, so my t43, when i press power button, are very cold, below -10c and even more, so my question is what is the safe temperature i can run my laptop?
thanks.
What is the lowest temperature i can turn on my t43 on?

I think the recomended temperature, for the battery at least is 5 degrees C, however I have used my T61 in 20 below with no ill effects, just make sure that you let the temeprature equalize before using it in a warm area to prevent condensation.
Elitebook 8440p, i5 520, 8gb, Samsung 840 SSD
Old/Not Working/Dead Laptops:
T61 7661CC2, 4gb, Windows 7 x64, 240gb intel SSD, 500gb Ultrabay drive
Toshiba Portege 7020ct
Thinkpad T41 23737FU
Dell Latitude LS

My hunch based guess would be that regular boots from very low machine temperatures (which should be the actual risk, not the ambient temp itself) will be a bit of strain when some component temperatures increase by 30-40 degrees in short time.
If you want to play safely, then maybe just keep the machine at rough room temperature before you actually boot it. I mean if you take it from indoors, out to a car that you get warm decently fast, then walk shortly and turn it on, machine temp will still be close to normal range and should balance out in a non-abrupt manner with ambient temp driving it down and component use keeping it up a tad.
And the battery you could always keep inside your jacket to avoid performance degradation. Maybe you could even figure some smart way to keep the TP inside the jacket if need be (while moving it I mean).

You can experience li-ion battery degrading, and maybe some temporary LCD issues. Also moving parts like HDD and DVD can suffer. Everything else should be okay, just don't allow the condensation.
T30(14" XGA, 12V car powered, still alive), A31p(UXGA IPS, secondary HDD and battery, some PC Card add-ons, alive), R50p(UXGA IPS, dead after massive tea spitting), T43(IPS SXGA+, GPU desolder), T43p(UXGA IPS, dock, almost maxed out), T60(SXGA+ IPS) + second T60 IPS+dock and some mods
