Remove keyboard, KB bezel and palmrest.
Remove and reconnect the LCD cable from/to the motherboard.
Reconnect the keyboard to try it.
If not, probably the CCFL is broken (small light tube in bottom of LCD.
Does the laptop work with an external monitor?

It could be that the fall and impact has made your TP suffer from the GPU/Southbridge solder issue, described here: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=73945

It's just a theory, but worth looking into, particularly since you say it happens when you move it.

Lick on the contacts?

Edit: Hmm, seriously. Do you have an external monitor to hook it up to. If you do and it passes the move-the-laptop-around-a-bit test, then you can at least rule out GPU etc and focus on built in monitor problems.

You still haven't told us if an external monitor works :!:

That definitely sounds like motherboard/gpu/southbridge etc problem, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to say how to narrow it down further. Beyond the fact that GPU is the standard-no 1-suspect when a display starts fuzzing, the only thing I can contribute is that display problems is not one of the common SB problems (and perhaps not one at all).
