I have a Thinkpad 2379-DJU that I have not used for some time and it was not plugged in during this time. It worked before this problem occurred.
When I turned it on nothing happened. I have tried several thing found on this forum with no success.
I have the battery removed, the power adapter plugged in and no light of any king. When I press the power switch, the battery indicator starts flashing rapidly (orange) and there is a clicking sound inside on the left side. Seems loudest at Left, rear corner (close to power plug).
Any suggestions?
Bought and installed a new CMOS battery and everything returned to normal.
