How to install Drivers for USB 2.0? My USB 2.0 port not working. How to enable USB 2.0? How to enable USB 2.0 on BIOS? How to get USB 2.0 to work?


Hi everyone!

I am having a problem with my USB 2.0 not working. My USB ports work but not at 2.0. When I plug in a USB Drive it tells me " This device can perform faster".
I don't really know much about computers but this is making me know more and more. I don't know how or where to fix this.

I am using a Motherboard {FSB 1066 P53G } Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.
If I plug a USB it works but unly transfers at 980 k/sec.
I don't know if I need Drivers or if I need to change some pins on the board or if it is at the BIOS I need to do some changes.???.
I got Genus Drivers to search for drivers but It is not giving me any for USB.
I would also love video tutorial since I am a visual learner.

This is a LAPTOP forum.

Go to the website of your motherboard's manufacturer and download drivers from there.
And look there also for instructions on how to install them.

This was fast reply. I went to the website and got the drivers but nothing. N's Yes I am using a Desktop PC.
Can I still Use this forum?

Hi and welcome to the forums, but as RealBlackStuff says this forum is for laptops and specifically IBM / Lenovo laptops.

It's not for PCChips Motherboard problems.

Can I suggest you use a general forum for problems like this.
