I am a proud owner of a T41p. Everything on this machine is perfect except the missing fingerprint scanner. I did some digging around and i was able to find a unit which is compatible with the IBM Secure Chip. I found the Targus PA470 unit. If anyone else out there is interested, i was able to dig up a deal. I can get those units for about 115$USD (they go anywhere between 175$ -200$USD). Count 10$ USD for shipping. The catch: i have to buy at least 15 units. If anyone is interested in a group buy, let me know. I have good feedbacks on ebay. I am in montreal canada.

I beleive you will be better off with this

It's IBM original fingerprint reader and it's cheaper at $69.

i am leaning towards the targus, it's pcmcia, no extra cables or modules to carry. If anyone is intersted in a group buy.
