Replacement top cover

It seems like IBM has practically every part replaceable and purchaseable. Is it possible to purchase a replacement cover for a t41p? This is the exterior part that is attached to the lcd, its ok now, but i know eventually i'm going to go nuts as the rubberized molding or whatever they use begins to fade or wear.

grab a copy of the HMM and get the FRU for the top..

then call 800-388-7080 and order one..

i have the hardware maintenance manual, but got confused on the drawing. Page 247 shows the diagram, but I'm not sure if part 1 is the part that I am looking for. It is labeled "LCD cover kit" with one saying (WW) and another saying (Korea)... All those dashed lines get me a bit confused too

. Anybody have any experience replacing it (more importantly, is it difficult)

I think WW means WorldWide and Korea means those that are sold in Korea. This is because Thinkpads are sold through LG in Korea (LG-IBM) and they have a different logo attached. A big square one (LG IBM) that is glued over the "IBM Thinkpad" logo.
