Hi,
sometime my t43p won' turn on. helps plug off battery and start again. Sometime start after one try sometime after ten times plug off battery.
sometime i hear inverter noise on mainboard near cpu
t43p always start from standby mode
i looking for schematic, etc what help me to solve my problems
cheers

Re: t43p don't turn on (sometime) - i loking for schematics
Hi,
i think is the inverter failure. Main inverter who work, always after plug with power. When this inverter start and works, then i don't have problems with turn on.
i looking for schematic main inverter
cheers

Re: t43p don't turn on (sometime) - i loking for schematics
Unfortunately schematics are not available being IBM Lenovo Company Confidential.
Regarding the inverter, it's a straightforward design but has a nasty "sting" if you touch the high voltage output so be very careful!
Thinkpad T4x inverters are conventional design and you should be able to work out the design from this page which shows how they work.
Also check the voltages at the inverter multiconnector, comparing the voltages when the screen's working fine to when it's not working properly. That way if there is an input voltage missing (or incorrect) then you'll know it's probably not the inverter.
I would suggest checking the Forum Marketplace to see if anyone's selling an inverter, or put in a Want to Buy (WTB).

Re: t43p don't turn on (sometime) - i loking for schematics
Hello,
i found all schematics
if any one want it, please pw
about my problem
t43x have two modes when its turn off
if whith battery - all is turn off
when ac plugged, some inverters work
how to repair:
plug off battery
open notebook
plug on ac
after this
inverters are started
near cd-rom joint is inverter for 1.8v l11 coil(here is my problem, sometime inverter don't start)
two coils for 3,3v and 5v is nerar RTC baterry
look on mnf application
http://datasheets.maxim-ic.com/en/ds/MA ... AX1993.pdf
and
look on schematic
http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g79/adasch/t43p.png
i think is 330uf capacitor is failure
i check power, its ok on PWM
6x1,5uf is ceramic, i think it impossible this is worn
of course, rest capacitor too can be worn, but all is case 1005 it v hard to check it.
in first step i replace 330uf capa, next be mosfets...
i have some photos too
cheers
