Different thickness in different T42 with 14.1 display

I was trying to buy my first Thinkpad T42 with 14.1 display, then I realized some of them are 1 inch thick, some 1.2 while some others 1.4?!?!? is it for real or typo on the specs sheet?

I've seen the T40 and both the 14" and 15" T42 in person. As far as I can tell, the 14" T42 is almost physically identical to the T40. Thickness varies at certain points on the notebook. The 14" T4x is about 1" at the front and 1.2" in the back.

I'm sure the discrepancy is the result of careless descriptions in the spec sheet.
