Rescue and Recovery 4.23 does no longer backup Windows-Folde

I'm working with XP latest release and RnR 4.23_17 on my TP T43.

I recently discovered that RnR does no longer back up any files in the C:\Windows folder, although I did not change any settings in the program or the registry since it successfully saved all folders the last time. Even a complete re-install of RnR din't change this strange behavior.

Any idea what happened?
