Network adapter question for T21.

#1 Post by stevensung » Sun Apr 17, 2005 6:20 pm

Hi, there
This is a so weird question for my old T21.
The buit-in NIC card was working well for the past years, untill recently, after I used a PCMCIA wireless card on this machine for a while. Now I want to use the wire NIC connect to cable modem, and I can see light for the Ethenet port connect on from the back of it. However, when I go to "Local area connection" and try to see the TCP/IP connection, it pops up a error message telling me to install and enable network adapter. And I got error when I run command "ipconfig/renew" on the command prompt. I checked the hardware manager for this adapter and everything seems fine. So does anyone know what happened and how could I solve this problem? Thank you.

I don't know if you have fixed the problem or not, but you need to disable the wireless card if you wish to use the wired connection.
