Thinkpad t42 wireless problems

Im having a big problem with my IBM Thinkpad T42. Ive recently updated to windows xp now im having problems connecting wirelessly to my netgear wnr1000v2 . help .!!!!

Can you see the network and attempt to connect? If not you may need to download a driver. You can find it here:

If you don't know the model of the card you can look it up with the 7-digit machine type on the bottom of the laptop. (Example: Mine looks like 2767-XH6)

Enter the machine type here once you find it:
http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/default.page?

Use the "Quick Path". That will bring up the original specifications of your T42. The wireless card should be listed. Than refer back to the first link and download and install the correct driver.
