Hello all!! New here! T42 Huge Purchase needed!

#1 Post by MPDano » Thu Apr 21, 2005 12:57 pm

Our school is looking to buy around 60 IBM T42's in the next month or so. I am looking for an honest dealer that can get us the best pricing. 8)

Contact Bill, the owner of the forum (www.thinkpads.com for details).

If your SCHOOL is buying, you might be able to get EDU discount from IBM directly, though.

I am not saying Bill does not carry good deals, but considering the bulk of the purchase you might get something special from IBM.

Bill should be easily able to beat an EDU discount on that quantity.

I remember when I bought my T42, I got it from IBM directly because Bill cannot give EDU discounts on Express models.

that is correct..
but i CAN get education models..

reality is that between an express model and a similar/regular thinkpad model i CAN compete.. usually with good results..
what is more, i can send MPDano to my ibm sales guys if all else fails..
