Noisy LCD?

My thinkpad T23 is making some noisy buzz from the LCD. The noise can only be heard in a quiet room. When i turn off the LCD.....the noise is gone. Can anyone help me with this?

Some old LCDs from the beginning of this technology and some low cost LCDs have this problem. A lot of PDAs with coloured LCDs are making this noisy buzz. Is it better/worse when you decrease/increase backlight ?

I would recommend you to put it into the service.

The noise from the LCD gets louder when I increase the brightness. Hmm...I don't know whether IBM will cover this or not? I have a warranty till 2006.

I think yes, high pitched noise can be very annoying. Try to get it to the highest bright. The backlight is driven by a pulse width modulation so when you set it to max the noise should stop. But anyway take it to the service.

Oh , thank you for your help!!! When I tun the brightness to the max....the noise is automatically gone!!!!!!!! ANyway, I'll bring it for servicing.....
