T43 with Dock II problem

Hi all,

I received my new T43 with Dock II this week. Been delighted with the machine so far, until this evening, one of the USB ports on my Dock station suddenly stopped working (DSL modem was connected to it). When I plugged the modem directly into the Thinkpad, it worked fine. All other Dock ports were working perfectly.

At the same time a nasty noise as if something was rubbing off the hard disk while it was spinning happened every time I moved the Trackpoint or the Touchpad!! When I took the thinkpad out of the dock station, the noise stopped.

After a couple of ejects and re-inserts to the dock station, everything now seems to be fine.

Send back Laptop, Dock II or both????
