T43P problem with screen / resolution

#1 Post by hexagon_sun » Sat Sep 01, 2012 2:13 pm

hi
I've got problem with resizing desktop. I've installed latest ATI FireGL V3200 drivers, next monitor file and when I'm setting up 1600x1200 I see only half a screen, and I can scroll up down with mouse to see all desktop. But I want desktop fill up all screen, without scrolling.

my machine is

t43p 2669-cto
15"
xp professional

Does this T43p have all original parts, or have you replaced the LCD panel, motherboard, or any other parts? You really should never have a display resolution problem with the internal display. Especially if you get the drivers from Lenovo.
Collection = T500 - R400 - X300 - X200 - T61 (14" WXGA+) - T61 (14.1" SXGA+) - T60 (15" SXGA+) - X40 - T43p - T43 - T42p - A30P - 600E

Don't know about history of this ibm, I bought it on super sale from my company.

After benchmark through one app, I got 2669wzj motherboard t43p with intel aviso i915pm chipset,

OK, that's nothing wrong with screen size, because visual condition of this lap is superb, working also.

One question, Can I switch lcd from t42p 15" uxga? I can buy it in vg condition in good price.

And change it to original ibm lcd spare from for example damaged laptop or lcd founded from auction (fe. N150U3-L01 - don't know if it was in original new laptops?) ? How about quality?

According to specs, you laptop has an SXGA+ screen (1400x1050), and not UXGA.

T43p (2669-WZJ)
Based on 2669-CTO: P M 770(2.13GHz), 2GB RAM, 60GB 7200rpm HD, 15in 1400x1050 LCD, 128MB ATI FireGL V3200, CDRW/DVDR, Intel 802.11abg wireless(MPCI), Bluetooth/Modem(CDC), 1Gb Ethernet(LOM), UltraNav, Secure Chip, 9c Li-Ion batt, WinXP Pro

If you put in UXGA, it also needs an UXGA LCD-cable, so it's easiest to just transfer the whole T42 lid.

They will also work, but you still need the matching T4x SXGA+ or UXGA cable and inverter!
