Recommendations for 14" vs 15"?

I have not seen a 14 or 15 IBM in person only from pictures posted somewhere on the net which showed them side by side. The 15 didnt really look all that much bigger, but im sure seeing them in person would be the deciding factor.

However I have compared a 15 and 14 at a bestbuy, they were not from the same company. The 14 was a gateway and the 15 was a hp I believe, I was not concerned about the quality of the screen but rather the size of the screen.

I really liked the 14 gateway and almost bought it, but I didnt as im still hell bound on getting a IBM. My last notebook had a trackstick and that really is a major factor for me. Which as near as I can tell leaves me with a Crappy Dell a IBM or a Gateway 460 for options..

Anyway the 14 gateway at bestbuy was really nice, and ive even considered getting a 14 IBM.

What made me stick with the 15 is this. Portability....I know the 14 is more portable but thats the thing.. when I sat down and really thought about how much im going to be traveling with this thing. It made up my mind..
I figure that 95% of the time it will be on a desk, I may take it back and forth to work several times a week, which isnt that big of a deal. But I dont travel much on an airplane. Maybe 2 to 3 times a year and Im not sure i would take it with me one of those times as its for a vacation.
The most traveling I would do with it would be in a car, then again if im driving I cant use it, and im not sure if i would take it on a vacation(by car) as the little lady would probably be really [censored]..

So it came down to really how much of the time will I be traveling with it, vs the time working at a desk, table, coffee table, couch.

If I traveled alot I would not hestiate to get the 14. But for mostly desk work I think the 15 would be more suitable....Once again the most I will be hauling it around would be from work to home and back again.

... unless somehere changes my view...

Just curious as to if you had say a font of 12 in word, then that font would look more like 16 with liquid view.
So naturally your going to think that its going to print this large when it prints,
which makes you want to reduce the font and in essence when it prints it prints smaller than what you really wanted???

In short ...Wonder if you would have a problem choosing the right size text, if what you are seeing isnt really what you are seeing?

It is not a problem, the page size scales as well, so the font size is in proportion with the page size. What you see with print preview should be what gets printed.
