Trouble exiting standby on T42

#1 Post by topspinken » Mon Oct 15, 2012 11:56 am

I have a T42 running WinXp Sp3. when I hit the Fn key coming out of standby mode, the T42 comes out of standby, then within a minute, goes right back into standby. Once in standby, i hit the Fn key again and it exits standby permanently. How can I fix this? I should only have to it the Fn key once. Thx in advance

It's not really clear whether the Microsoft KB article applies to standby mode, as opposed to hibernation. I don't think the BIOS performs a full boot when the system resumes from standby.
