Is ThinkPad T42p display compatiable with T42 laptop?

I need to replace my T42 laptop display assembly (LCF, inverter, antennas, etc). The only complete display assembly I've been able to find that's in A condition is from a T42p.

Does anyone know for sure if that screen is compatible with the T42?

If they are the same size and your T42 has the ATI GPU...then yes.

Yes, both are 14.1, and the T42 has ATI display GUI, so I'm sure this means the GPU is also ATI. THANKS!

Pardon the hijack, but what's the highest res. the 7500 in a T42 can display? Internally, I mean. Just dug up an old 15" 1600x1200 screen...

It will do 1600x1200.
