T43 structure

#1 Post by LeonQ » Thu Apr 28, 2005 11:18 am

hello folks, I found the area right underneath the touchpad of my t43 is much warmer than the areas under both palmrests after running it for a while, is the cpu under the left palmrest and HD under the right? I am wondering what is under the touchpad and generates so much heat? Thanks for any input.

HDD is on the right side, wireless network card is directly underneath the touchpad. CPU is under the keyboard, left side, GPU is a bit closer to the touchpad/wifi-- middle.

The ICH6-M southbridge and the WiFi card are stacked on top of each other in the area under the touchpad. I get the sense that there's not much ventilation, which allows heat to build up.
