IBM/Intel branded 11a/b/g or Intel branded ?

I can purchase an Intel 11 a/b/g card for 1/2 the price of an IBM branded 11 a/b/g card for my T42. The cards are identical however, I have heard that if I use the non-IBM branded Intel card, it may not work unless you do a bios hack. Does any one know if this is true or are the two card interchangeable?

For the Intel branded one, you'll need a Bios hack. I'm considering doing this, but Ebuyers somehow managed to cancel my order despite the fact that they had 400+ Intel Mini PCI wireless left in stock!! And they also took my money already.
