Well that would be supremely weird if they don't assemble mine first. They've got all the components for the computer under one list as one contiguous unit just listing it's pieces (system config # which includes the CTO chassis plus optical, RAM, HDD, etc). It looks to me like they'll assemble it. I can certainly do it myself but it's rediculous to think that they make you do that.

chbone, can you order the T43p CTO without the OS? I ordered my CTO with DVD+/-RW, IBM a/b/g II and an IBM option (2nd HDD adapter). All the system options, like RAM, HDD should be built-in the system while the external options, like 2nd HDD adapter, Docking can be on separate shipments.

How did u order and get the system components into pieces like that ? That really amazed me

For anyone keeping tabs, my 5/14 order is now saying 7/26 for a ship date (it originally said 7/14 but has been sliding further out every couple days).

My T43p CTO status has now changed from "Call" to 6/7 for a few days already :) Hope I'd get it around then or sooner, according to IBM shipping past records.

My 5/21 order says today 6/27 shipping. The funny thing is that my free port replicator's shipping date slides every day, from the original 5/26 to current 6/3.

15" T43p shipped yesterday from Kowloon Bay, HK. Delivery on Tuesday morning. That I won't be able to take this puppy for a drive for another couple of weeks because I will be out of the country from tomorrow, is another story....

Ordered 14" version on 3/21/05. Switched to 15" version on 4/4/05 (at that time given an estimate of 6/14/05 for 15").

Just ran into this article and thought I would share it for those still waiting for the H2U as I am. This article is just a review of what someone thought of the H2U IBM sent them to review.
The Link: http://www.parentingclub.com/resources/ ... ew_rv1.php

My order status is still "packing" with an Est. Ship Date of 06/07/05. Anyone on order for the H2U have a status better than "packing" or get theirs shipped? I hear some folks are receiving their 15" on Tuesday. I sure hope that is true. :D

Pretty decent review, kinda general though. They didn't even mention heat/noise issues, which is encouraging.

Ordered end of March, either 30th or 31st. Was given estimated delivery time of 2-3wks then.

I can not believe my eyes. I checked my order status today for my H2U and it said, "Shipped!" Wow! It finally happened. I even have a tracking number! Wow! This is amazing. I can't wait!
