I think this should be the final answer to all the 15' T43P
If you don't want to wait for two weeks, then cancel the order.
True dat!

60 posts of whining *GGG*

We should rename this site to fan&whining.com ;)

Oh well - Or just order a 14" version instead.

Lenovo misspoke when they gave ya'll the packaging & ship dates. Those are the dates your T43 & T43p are being shipped to China for the move

One CD-RW in my package has arrived. But my computer is still packing.
You can see the mess caused by the UPS.
One-week long shipping!
In addition, the order status of this item is changed from "packing" to "shipped" just after I have received it.

Those [censored] apes at UPS have done the same thing to me on numerous occasions. I had two 2-day air packages that made it within 20 miles of my house in Texas, and then mysteriously were flown from Texas to Oregon, and then to Chicago, and finally to Maine!!! I was livid to say the least, and when they finally got stopped in Maine, it took them TWO WEEKS to get them back to me & of course they shipped them back UPS GROUND due to their screw-up!

Those packages probably drove thru EVERY STATE east of the Miss.

UPS HA! Never again!

Hahaha no sour things here - I have a few other 15" UXGA laptops around - Also with IPS technology like IBM's flexview, but i like the smaller 14" version and the screen is excellent on those. And well - This is a laptop i dont need 170 degrees of viewing angle - Unlike you guys i actually sit in front of my computer when i work *GG* ;)

One rep told me before he will get the 15'' T43p on May 20, but today he told me it is back ordered until the first week of June. I bet it will not ship until the middle of June.

looks like we all got different answers from different rep.

I called them yesterday and was told that my T43P will be shipped by the end of next week (end of May).

Here is the email:
XXX- Were you going to change the MTM on this order or did the customer decide to keep the 2687E4U up? The E4U will not GA til 5/24 and we probably will not ship until mid June.

Wow, that is crazy. We all definitely have different stories about shipping. How fascinating .

I was told the only thing holding up my order is a missing part, which I find hard to believe.

Anyway, does anyone know of any other manufacturer that has started shipping machines with the 770 Pentiums yet, or machines equal to or better than the t43p 15”? I am not suprised to not find any on the net. Maybe there really is a missing part.

When I asked my rep back at the end of April He told me most likely June. I am figuring. All this time has given me a chance to rethink my decision. I may just pass on the T43p 15" and get a normal T43 14" model. It will save me some money. Either way, I think I am going to wait things out to see if all this waiting was worth it. If not, it will be promptly shipped back.

I'm having the exact same feelings. I really want a T43p 15" UXGA so it's more "future proof". However, I'm having a really hard time justifying the extra weight & size, plus decreased battery life over the T43 14" SXGA.

I am with you on this; I feel the same with the addition of price. "future proof" is the keywork.

One more update:

Just ask one rep, he said it will be in stock next week.
Then I verify it with the other rep, she said it will be June 9th

Who is right?

Nobody knows!

Maybe this is a dump question but why dont people just accept that there isnt really anybody who knows when the machine will arrive. IBM/Levono gives different answer every single time people call which just shows that nobody knows.
So you basicaly have three options. Either just wait(and keep posting about a new date ten times a day wont help) or order from somebody who has the machine in stock(if anybody does) or get a 14" version which is in stock several places.

Sorry if i seem like an old fart, but i just dont see whats the point in a three page long thread complaining about not knowing when the machine will arrive. We all know that something is messed up at Levono due to the switch at the moment, but not a single person knows what the real date is.

There - Feel free to critisize the hell out of me know - Im expecting it ;)

We are not complaining. We are exchanging information to others that are also waiting. Anyone that has new information when it will be shipped can come and share that. I dont see what's wrong with it, as long as it's related to the topic.

One thing good about forum/message board is if you dont like what you read and/or have nothing good to say to help in that topic, you have "a choice" to ignore and skip that thread.

I really like the way we are sharing the information and exploring the buying or shipping process. That's part of fun. After we got those items, we may still stick with this forum with other issues. This is called "sufer" and "surf"!
