eSATA Express Card on T43

Hi guys,

I've 2 x 3.5" 2TB hdd lying around and I want to connect it to my T43 using this and this and run it 24x7 as network file server.

Anyone have any idea will it work?
current using t400 with p8400 2.26ghz processor, 8gb memory, 1288gb ssd, ... as a:
- media player (kodi)
- emulations (retropie)
- nas (2 x 4tb hdds connected to usb3.0 express card on gigabit lan)

previous
t43 with 1.86ghz processor, 2gb memory, 80gb ide hdd, x300 graphics, 1400x1050 display, ...

I'm interested in the power to the hard drive. :)

The 54mm express card does not mention ESATAp or Power eSATA.
The cable is for laptops with a ESATAp port.
I wonder if a hard drive connected with the express card would be bootable. :)

Hi malch, managed to set up using the express card on my T43 with 2 x 2TB HDDs connected via the esata cables as mentioned.

To power up the HDDs, I'm using a AC power adapter that have the 4-pin molex output and a molex to 2 x SATA adapter as shown below.

Data transfer is currently limited by network as need to change to a gigabit switch.

Running this 24x7 for a few months now using Win7 OS installed in the T43 IDE HDD and accessing to the 2 x 2TB HDDs via samba. Would probably try out OpenMediaVault when I've some time.
