The CPU in your T41 doesn't support W8.

With that machine, I'd be sticking with XP since the graphics card is not supported in Vista or W7.

Good luck.

Posted in the wrong forum - can a Mod or Admin please move this to the T4x section.

It is my understanding that OP is having a hardware problem where he can't enter the BIOS since the system shuts down on him.

Most likely a GPU problem...

I take it then that you ARE able to get the BIOS screen to load, correct?

If not, please remove all drives, all memory, battery and disconnect AC adapter. then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Put the memory, battery and AC adapter back on, start it and press F1 at the opening screen. Adjust your settings power off, put your HDD(s) and CD back in and try again.

If you can get to the BIOS and your live CD boot is giving you problems, then a Linux expert is needed, and that's not me.

@mukixxxx:

Send me a PM in your native language describing the issue that you're having in detail and I'll advise you on what to do in both English and Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian (whatever the flavour of the day is) later on in this thread...
