Well, I finally got my T41 in the mail yesterday and I'm loving it!!!
First off, I plan to back up the existing HD onto a USB drive just in case I ever want to revert back to what's on it now... like in case I sell it... fat chance there!!!!
While I do know a lot about building desktops, and have also worked on Compaq laptops, this IBM looks to have a bit more involved with it. In other words, I'm wondering if I need to know anything "special" about the T41 before I dump whats on it.
Aida32 shows a whole bunch of programs and I was wondering if they are all needed. I know a lot of them are not, and since I'm the minimalist type, I want to dump as much as I can.
So for any of you that "Reloaded" your T41, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated before I begin. By the way, I have already downloaded most of the drivers off the IBM site... I still have a few to go.
Any other special requirements needed... like motherboard drivers? What about the keyboard light... is this integrated hardware or is it software driven?
Thanks and Aloha,
makai
