quick question regarding screen res (in a hurry)

I dont have a full model number, just 2373. Its a 15 inch model with the long fan and one of the higher performing ati gpu's. Guessing the 9600 since the 9000 was never sold here. What are the chances it has a high res (sxga+) screen?

Its in good nick othervise, a barebone, an missing a keyboard. I just want the screen if its sxga+ to repace the aging xga on my main t42. Bloke wants 25 euros for it and even if the screen is xga, have the parts to fix it up and sell. Should i go for it?

I'd ask again to provide the full 7 digits. Even if it's a CTO, there should be the full 7 digits code printed in small letter below it. Or he should boot into the BIOS and read it there.

For me, XGA in 15" it a really really awful resolution, this would be the worst case scenario I guess. OTOH, if you need/can reuse other parts 25€ is not much money you'll loose

Yeah, I know XGA on 15" is awful, which is why i want to replace it. I think I'm going to go for it. Especially since i just tried to power up my T42 and its dead as a doornail.

I wrote to him a second time now. Got barely three hours left of the auction. Somebody bid on it so i can no longer use the buy now button. Bid war ahead!

MINE! MINE! MINE! 15 euros, even cheaper than the buy now button I was originally planning on using. Now the screens are being swapped, and the boards will be swapped with yet another T42, and then this new one will be sold.

The wanker had the screen replaced and didnt put it in the ad. Now i have 2 xga screens with abolutely no use for them.... The fan was a t43 model, the battery wont charge past 13% and you cant put it together because the wrong screws were used and they were forced in. Had to drill out two with a dremel....

Edit: and the board may or may not work....
