Driver for T42 2373-6ZG , PHILIPS WLAN card FRU 91P7301

Hi,

I'm deseperately looking for the driver for WLAN card with FRU 91P7301 with sticker from Philips.

By reading here and there, it seems that I'm not the only one with this issue.

I read that this PHILIPS card is Atheros based and that the driver should be 77wc54ww.exe.
I also tried the driver 77wc39ww.exe. Both got from Lenovo's website.

None of the drivers works.

On the sticker is also mentioned ANO20030400LEG, as well as PH12127-E and PH11107-E.

After downloading and extracting the driver you must go into C/Drivers/Win/Wlanath and run the setup file from there.

Thanks for your answer. Sorry that I did not mention it, but I did it and had to restart Windows after the software setup. But the wireless card remained undetected.
Also, when browsing for the driver from the hardware manager and selecting some subfolder of WLANATH (something like Win_XP_2k or equivalent), no compatible driver was found.

The WLAN card is correctly plugged as I checked it.

Try driver package 77wc38ww.exe and let us know what happens. It appears to be the last version that supports your card, the newer driver versions only support IBM 802.11 a/b/g II version cards.

Any idea where can I find the official version of 77wc38ww.exe ?

It appears that Lenovo no longer offers the 77WC38WW driver. Only the 39 version is shown on their site. You might have to install ThinkVantage Access Connections to get it to work. I don't know, and don't have this particular adapter, but have read a few posts around the web that state it's necessary to install Access Connections to get this driver to work. YMMV.

Two things here:

a) Boot a "live" Linux CD to ensure that the card is seen there

b) Make sure that the wireless is enabled in BIOS.

I've had this exact card running in my A31p with no Access Connections, but with Atheros wireless utility instead.

The WLAN was already enabled in the BIOS.

Installing the driver 77wc38ww.exe from the link provided by RealBlackStuff worked like a charm.
The PHILIPS a/b/g WLAN card (Atheros) is now recognized.
