I just picked up a DXU off of eBay, used for two months and in perfect condition. I am in love with it! I was worried about the size and weight, but it is no heavier than my previous laptop, a T20, and the screen is so nice that it is well worth the size premium. I love having this much real estate on a laptop.
There are a few loose/creaky areas in the palmrest and navigation area, which I will try to remedy as soon as I manage tear my eyes away from the screen.
What has surprised me most is the quality and usefulness of the IBM utilities. The restoration partition takes up "only" 4.5GB, which is nothing compared to some of the horror stories I've heard here. Probably due to the lack of included software. I assumed that I would wipe the system and install everything myself, but I don't mind 4.5GB and I really like the IBM connection manager. I did resize the Windows partition so that I could add a large one for all of my personal files.
Way to go IBM! ... Lenovo? IBM? [censored]....
