Is there an alternate soundboard driver I can use on my t42 type 2378 R4 U besides the "SoundMax" driver produced by Yamaha and affiliates?

Frankly, I have no idea, but I would download the latest driver from the Lenvo site and see if it works... or is not the same as the one you mention.
