Sending US T42 to the UK

Hi,

My question relates to sending an IBM T42 from the US for permanent use in the UK. A number of other boards have said this is OK and I'm looking for confirmation. I have the original IBM power adapter and I'm thinking all I need to do is purchase a new power cord:http://www.amazon.co.uk/POWER-CABLE-STY ... pad+laptop

Is this correct?

Also, the only power cord I can find looks pretty cheap and I couldn't find one on the Lenovo site. My power adapter has two pins exiting the device (not three pin Mickey Mouse style). Is there somewhere else I can find a quality power cord?

Finally, does the board recommend only buying replacement batteries from Lenovo?

That cable is fine.
And the forum does recommend only proper IBM/Lenovo batteries.

The cable in your link will work. IBM/Lenovo computers sold in the UK come with a grounded (three prong) power supply and plug, but "double insulated" (two prong) supplies work just fine.
