Question about replacing a T43p motherboard

#1 Post by Conterosso » Mon Nov 25, 2013 3:58 pm

I've a T43p 2669 H2G with Pentium M 770 (2.13Ghz), UXGA 15in display and ATI M24 GL-128.
Unluckily the motherboard is damaged (I guess that the ATI GPU is damaged ...the screen is half black and half full of vertical colored lines ...)
I'm looking for a mobo to replace the damaged one, but I'm not able to find a 39T0477 (this is the fru code for the original one) at a reasonable price.

I've found some 39T0464, 39T0476 and 39T0479 mobos at a good price.
I know that they have ATI M22 64 graphic processor instead of M24 GL-128.

Does anybody know if I can substitute a 39T0477 with one of these ?
And what kind of differences I can have with a smallest graphic processor ?

Does anybody can suggest me other mobos that can work better together with the other parts of my T43p ?
If it's possible I'd like to maintain Pentium processor and RAM memories ...

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance and Best Regards,
Paolo.

Welcome to the forum!

Any standard T43 board with ATi GPU will run the UXGA screen just fine, so while you'll sacrifice some of the performance, it will make for a working setup.
