T41 serial connection for GPS
hey all guru here, just post this question as i did not find something similar by searching the historical slips.
i am using T41 and have MS Street and Trips 2004, also a Garmin handheld GPS which have serial connection. is there anyway i can link my GPS with the T41, as MS S & T 2004 only allows me to configure the GPS as com1/com2.
is there any way i can get this done without carry my docking staion all around? Thanks

You need a serial<->usb adapter. I have a usb gps, and mine is really a serial gps with built-in usb bridge.
Random link (I don't have that, just for reference what I'm talking about - first google hit):

i was thinking to do the same thing , and use my T43 as moving map device in my car.
After looking into the MS street and trips i found out it doen't support VOICE.
is that's the case ? do you have any idea of a software that will give VOICE directions.
thanks Danny

Hi Danny,
you can have a look at "Street Atlas USA® 2005" by delorme www.delorme.com
I was/am using version 2003 and it worked quite well with my bluetooth GPS device.
Cheers,
Jens
