Hi all,
I have a big problem. Today I have opened the my IBM T43 to clean everything, but this is not the first time, and always all ok, but today after clen the PC, I have closed all, but the PC has dead, no light on display, all black, nothing. Please can someone help me and my PC?
Thank and best regards.

Cleaned T43 inside, assembled it again, but now it is dead?

Re: Cleaned T43 inside, assembled it again, but now it is dead?
Check that all the screws are in the proper place and there's nothing that's causing a short circuit. I picked up a "no light, dead as a door stop" T61p for $40. It was in beautiful shape with a high res screen, 4 GB RAM and a T9300. I got it for the screen, RAM and CPU and was willing to part out the rest.
The only problem with it was a misplaced screw. A screw was placed in the drain hole at the bottom of the laptop causing a short with the keyboard. I removed the screw and VIOLA! everything now works great.
