I loaded W7 on my T40. Works very well. Got W7 'System Builder' for $89 (plus tax), Amazon has it for about the same price. The only thing I gave up on was regarding the on-board wireless. I bought a mini-USB unit via Amazon for $13 which has better sensitivity than the on-board one.
