Thinkpad T series /different power supplies differentOutput?

#1 Post by cyberfilmmaker » Sun May 15, 2005 2:32 pm

Hi there,

there are many power supplies for the
THINKPAD T series that you can buy on eBAY.

However many of them have a very different A (Ampere) output ranging from 3.0A 3.36A 4.5A

Will they all do the job? What is the difference? Will they charge the battery slower or give up more quickly when you add USB devices?

Many thanks,

The simple answer (I am travelling and international internet is pricey) is to use the power brick recommended for your ThinkPad. Using a lighter duty one is generally foolhardy, and using the wrong voltage one is usually death. Just use the correct one, and all will be well. ... JD Hurst
