FOSS supported WiFi cards for the t43?

is there a FOSS only distro friendly WiFi card i can add to my t43? i can find chipset info but not much on actual models, and im quite tempted to switch to trisquel or something similar

Generally speaking, Atheros-chipped cards are Linux friendly.

IBM b/g II and IBM a/b/g II would fit the bill for T43. You could use a TP-link "N" cards with a modded BIOS.
