Getting Embedded Controller to update
Getting Embedded Controller to update
Folks, bit of a cross post, but T43 gets more action, here but trying to build a Embedded Controller update disk. I download the diskette version, execute it and it builds a 3.5" floppy for me but the floppy does not boot. I've gone into the bios and selected usb hdd, I've used F12 and chose setup, I locked the disk. When I try to boot off of the disk the message "no operating system found" appears on the screen.
Re: Getting Embedded Controller to update
Got there, finally. Went into bios and restored defaults then FDD hard drive appears in bios. Push F12 at startup and choose that one and it booted up off of diskette. I had to try the update 3 times before it got thru it without bombing but finally got there. So now at 1.29 bios and 1.06 EC and no beeps
