Midi on T23

I just purchased a simple music / sound editor "Home Studio 2". The program appears to work ok but I can not get sound. It seems to not see any midi drivers or devices and that appears to be necessary. The laptop's sound works fine otherwise. I have updated the sound drivers, THere is an error message on program installation "Error registering the OCX C:/winnt/system32/drmclien.dll". Anyone have a suggestion?
