T43 14.1''

How is the T43 14.1'' SXGA screen for watching videos? I'm planning on watching alot of avis and just wanna make sure the image quality is decent before I buy one Thanks.

You can watch it by yourself and it is not so good as the widescreen. This is a really "Business" machine.

i had the "multimedia" HP DV1000 , it's brigtView and wide screen
and i wasn't impressed at all from the DVD quality on it.
you have to seat in front of it, other wise the picture was grainy , much worse then in the T43.
I had other wider screen laptops like Toshiba 15" and Compaq x1000.
they have the advantage of wide screen. so you have less black area on top and bottom Vs the T43 , but i think the picture quality is better on the T43. the screen here is really nice. ,maybe it's the higher resolution too. mine is 1400x1050 and those laptops i had where only 1200 x 800

On my T41p with the 14" screen movies were pretty decent...not great but more then pleasant to watch. Black areas of the picture are the most noticeable (as is the case with almost all LCD's) so they appeared a little grainy on my machine but nothing that I couldn't live with. Ghosting is also a little noticeable on fast action screens. Sure beats the 4" screens that fold out from the armrests on planes though:)
