Help! Need Win98SE Recovery CD for T22

#1 Post by alcc » Fri May 20, 2005 2:04 pm

Hello,

My T22 crashed. Tried everything: (1) the Recovery Program supposedly on the hard drive does not respond; (2) went to the IBM website, downloaded and built a repair diskette that supposedly would fix access to the Recovery Program, didn't work; (3) called IBM, was told I need a Recovery CD, unfortunately, CD for Win98SE no longer available. Groan.

Question: do any of you have a copy I could use? Alternateively, any other solutions?

Thanks.

Does the system respond at all? Is the harddrive bad?

I had a T21 which did not power up at all. Had to send it in to replace the system board, at least it was still under warranty.

Anyway, where are you located? I have a T21 Win98SE recovery CD that I can make a copy to send to you. It should work for the T22. You might have to download updated drivers from the IBM support site.
