T43 Bottom cover screw

#1 Post by Padraic » Fri Jun 27, 2014 5:18 pm

Hi all,I took the keyboard off my T43 to clean the buttons on the touch pad as it was always right clicking on it own. Wen I was putting all the screws back, I noticed that one screw was not threaded along the shank like the rest of them. Does anybody know if this is for a special location, or have a diagram of where all the screws are supposed to go?
Regards Padraic

I would check the hardware maintenance manual (available from lenovo's website). It should tell you exactly what screws are used and where.
Current Thinkpads: W530 (functional classic keyboard mod), X301, T61, T60, T43, T23, 600X, 770
Other: mk5 Toughbook cf-19, mk1 Toughbook cf-53

That particular screw goes from the (left) bottom into the palmrest, next to the Hard Disc cover
