Screen Cleaning Suggestions for T-Series

#1 Post by manny » Sun May 22, 2005 5:47 pm

I would like to know how to clean my T43 screen. I've tried using regular Kleenex, but they seem to do a bad job leaving smudges. I'd like a cheap and easy solution if possible.

Thank you.

Never use paper towels or kleenex - regular paper products have high silicon content that will scratch the surface of the screen. Use a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth like those used for camera lenses. A bit of water on the cloth, or 10-30% alcohol/water mixture won't cause any harm, and will help get grease and smudges out.

does the cloth they give you for cleaning sunglasses and that spray stuff they have work pretty well? you can buy a little kit for like 8 bucks...that would be a cheap solution.

Off-hand, I'd say it should be fine. If the cloth is designed to clean optics, is very smooth and soft to the touch, and doesn't shed fibers, it should be fine.
