Trackpad users - does this ever happen to you?

#1 Post by Kenn » Sun May 22, 2005 11:31 pm

If you use edge-motion in order to scroll up and down websites and documents, does the screen ever time-out due to "inactivity" while you scroll? Somehow, the laptop doesn't register edgemotion activity as it does regular mouse movements or keystrokes.

It's a minor inconvenience that I seem to recall happening on all of my synaptics-equipped notebooks, regardless of make, model, or driver version. Anyone else?

Wow, then you must have a short TTL... since you wont be using that option alone for like 1 hour?

I guess it could happen for screensaver and hibernation, but I don't use a screensaver because it will just draining the batteries more. My machine is on and running so often during the day that I could use any additional time to save 1) batteries and 2) the LCD backlight lifetime.

In my specific case, I have the display set to turn off/blank out after 3 minutes of inactivity. That seems to happen even if I'm reading/scrolling through a document.
