LCD upgrade for T41 ??

#1 Post by gmgfarrand » Tue May 24, 2005 10:48 am

Ok,
I have a T41 not a T41p, and my max resolution is 1024x768.
Is there a way to either upgrade the lcd or the video card to support a higher native res ??

you need to upgrade the lcd to sxga or uxga depending what higher resolution you need.

to upgrade video card you need to change motherboard, or get the video chip changed if you have access to any state of the art soldering mechanisms.

Upgrading the video card won't increase the number of pixels your display has. If you want a higher resolution display, you'll need to buy a higher resolution display (greater pixel density) which you should be able to swap for the one you have on your laptop.

You'd want a 14.1" SXGA+ screen for the max resolution you can get in that size, I would imagine it should work but hopefully that's information to get you started.
X31, T43p (on sale soon I think :( ), T400
