The original specifications for the Y84 indeed mention FireGL:
Based on 2668-CTO: P M 770(2.13GHz), 1GB RAM, 60GB 7200rpm HD, 15in 1600x1200 LCD, 128MB ATI FireGL V3200, CDRW/DVDR, Intel 802.11bg wireless(MPCI), Bluetooth/Modem(CDC), 1Gb Ethernet(LOM), UltraNav, Secure Chip, 9c Li-Ion batt, WinXP Pro
It is possible that the motherboard has simply been replaced with a T43 variant, and the machine type has been modified.
It can also be that the Radeon driver is installed and picks up the FireGL as an X300.
Check the PCI device ID of your video adapter. X300 should be 1002:3152. V3200 should be 1002:3154.
Current: X220 4291-4BG, T410 2537-R46, T60 1952-F76, T60 2007-QPG, T42 2373-F7G
Collectibles: T430s (IPS FHD + Classic Keyboard), X32 (IPS Screen)
Retired: X61 7673-V2V, A31p w/ Ultrabay Numpad
Past: Z61t 9440-A23, T60 2623-D3U, X32 2884-M5U
